Conditions We Treat
Knee pain is commonly caused by nerve dysfunction. The knee joint is innervated by the articular branches of the Peroneal, Obturator and Posterior Femoral nerves. Inflammation of these nerves leads to pain, tissue degeneration of the joint, swelling and decreased range of motion. Other nerves commonly involved in knee pain include the Femoral and Saphenous nerves.
Osteoarthritis is one of the most common causes of knee pain. Published medical studies have shown that Prolotherapy can result in clinically documented and sustained improvement of pain, function, and stiffness in knee osteoarthritis. Even patients that have already had a total knee replacement can be successfully treated with Perineural Injection Therapy.
Runners commonly get pain around the patella in the front of the knee. Branches of the Anterior Femoral Cutaneous nerve typically are irritated as they pass over the boney surface of the bone. This is one of many “friction syndromes” that lead to pain. This is a common source of pain that is treated with PIT which means getting the athlete back to pain-free running.

“One of the most gratifying aspects of my clinic is seeing a patient walk in with debilitating pain and walk out feeling dramatically improved. Treating acute or chronic pain has been one of the motivating factors for my pursuit in learning Neural Prolotherapy. It is amazing to myself and the patient to have their pain extinguished. I have received more than one hug for treating patients that suffer from this severe pain.”
